Woman scammed by fake Keanu
A Spanish woman named Chloe was recently scammed out of as much as $700,000 by a fake (AI) generated replica of the Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves.
They first met through social media and started talking almost daily. After a while, the AI clone asked the woman for huge sums of money.
“It wasn’t a love scam, but an economic one,” the woman confessed.
The bot had asked her to fly him out in a private jet for €60,000, among many other things which has led to the woman going bankrupt and having to go into debt.
This isn’t the first time scammers used Keanu Reeves as their cover, as one American woman also fell for it, sending the scammer $5,000.
