It’s a known fact that MTV compensates its stars for making appearances on the show. What isn’t publicly known is the exact salary the cast receives.
Amber was the only ‘Teen Mom’ cast member whose salary was exposed to the public eye. It all happened back in 2010 when Amber was forced to reveal salary information and at the time she reported making $140,000 per 6 months period or $280,000 per year.
#2 She was offered a role in an adult movie
Amber was offered to be a star for an adult movie film by Vivid, a company that specializes in internet content.
The money offered for the role wasn’t negligible, it was reportedly an offer worth $500,000.
Of course, Portwood turned the offer down and nothing was made out of it.

Reportedly, in the early days of ‘Teen Mom’, Amber wasn’t ready to film if there wasn’t any ‘booze’ around.
