The ‘Teen Mom: OG’ couple Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra dealt with adoption more than a decade ago.
Catelynn & Tyler’s process
When they were cast for MTV’s ’16 & Pregnant’, it was mostly because of what they had going on in their lives at the moment.
MTV wanted to fully capture the adoption process they were going through at the time and they managed to do so.
What appears interesting is that nobody knew Catelynn & Tyler would become the stars they are today, that’s why the other party (Brandon & Theresa) decided to film.
Adoption agreement
For the fans that have been following Catelynn & Tyler’s story, they know that they aren’t allowed to film the scenes with Carly.
This is because Carly’s adoptive parents wanted it that way, to protect her privacy.
A fan found the original adoption agreement and decided to share it on social media, explaining many of the things not known before.
For instance, “Both parties agree to inform… of significant events occurring in their lives.”
Some fans also weren’t convinced the social media ‘agreement’ is a real one, “This would have to be a retype – mtv shouldn’t be able to film a document like this, legally binding or not. At the very least the document would be completely blurred out or not focused on at all.”
