Maci Bookout first appeared in MTV’s ’16 & Pregnant’ back in 2009 when she was still in a relationship with her then-boyfriend Ryan Edwards.
The two ultimately didn’t end up being together and instead moved on with different partners. Maci got married back in 2016 and Ryan also ended up getting married to his now estranged wife Mackenzie Standifer in 2017.
Ryan and his wife Mackenzie were outcast from MTV’s ‘Teen Mom: OG’ but things have changed since Ryan is now back on MTV’s new show ‘Next Chapter’.
Maci’s breakdown
Although she is no longer in love with her former boyfriend Ryan Edwards, Maci shows that she still cares dearly about what happens to her son’s father.
In a recent episode of ‘Teen Mom: Next Chapter’, Maci broke down in tears after seeing a clip of Ryan’s overdose and him being rushed to the ER.
“..Ryan had overdosed that’s truly the first time I was genuinely scared,” Maci said to the cameras.
Ryan is also seen making amends with his family, promising to do better for himself in the future.
