Those who have been following Leah and Ali’s journey right from the beginning know that she had a rare condition.
This was more than 10 years ago, back in the days of ’16 & Pregnant’.
Leah’s daughter has a condition called ‘TMD’
Leah’s daughter Ali was diagnosed with the condition not at the very start of her life, but in 2014. The doctors had no clue about it up until several years back when it was revealed what the condition truly was.
‘TMD’ stands for ‘Titin’s muscular dystrophy’ which carries weakness and loss of weight in a progressive cycle.
Leah has always uplifted her daughter Ali and made her feel like she was no different from her other children, calling her “the strongest and most determined child”.
Heartwarming update on Ali’s condition
New research sparked hope for Ali’s health condition as something new was discovered.
“Ali’s muscle biopsy from 2012 was recently sent to a lab…f her biopsy responds positively, it could potentially unlock doors for many others.” Leah wrote on Instagram recently.
This could very much turn into something positive for her daughter’s health as she would no longer be exposed to the condition in full, perhaps it could even be eradicated completely in time.
