Cory Wharton Shares Update About Daughter’s Health

The ‘Teen Mom: Next Chapter’ star Cory Wharton recently welcomed his second child together with his girlfriend Taylor.

As a reminder, Cory also shares a daughter called Ryder with his ex-girlfriend Cheyenne Floyd. At the time of his second daughter’s birth, Cory wrote the following on Instagram: “Maya was been diagnosed with
Tricuspid Atresia,” Cory revealed.

“Tricuspid atresia is a form congenital heart disease. It happens when the hearts tricuspid valve does not develop. This valve plays a part in the heart’s essential function, which is to pump blood between the lungs and body,” he explained on social media.

Cory’s latest social media update indicates that his daughter is to undergo another surgery at the beginning of January.

Fans expressed their sympathy for the family, “She’s so little, I can’t imagine what it’s like to go through something like this with your baby,” one fan wrote.

Update: Maya’s latest surgery appears to have gone well, with her being off the ventilator, per Cory’s words.

“We are going to continue to make steps in the right direction,” he wrote on Instagram.

Update #2:”..I’ll just tell you that Maya is a fighter and things don’t always go as planned but we’re gonna continue to pray..”

Update #3:“We are still at the hospital in ICU..I just continue to pray.”
