MTV Announces Surprising Decision To Merge ‘Teen Mom 2’ and ‘Teen Mom: OG’
MTV’s ‘Teen Mom’ franchise is growing and expanding still. It’s been around since 2009 and there are no signs of it slowing down.
A decade of television
Technically speaking, the ‘Teen Mom’ series celebrated its 10th anniversary back in 2019. The whole franchise started off as an experiment starring MTV’s ’16 & Pregnant’ as the main protagonist.
The show was definitely successful as it paved the way for numerous spin-offs.
Some of the popular girls from ’16 & Pregnant’ were recast for the later shows such as ‘Teen Mom: OG’ and ‘Teen Mom 2’.
MTV announces special reunion
The time has come. MTV is planning a reunion of some sorts featuring both the ‘Teen Mom: OG’ and ‘Teen Mom 2’ girls.
“Don’t miss the mother of all vacations when #TeenMomFamilyReunion premieres back-to-back with the all-new #TeenMomGirlsNightIn all starting on January 11,” MTV advertised the reunion on social media.
‘Teen Mom’ fans are definitely excited to see the mashup of ‘OG’ and ‘teen mom 2’ girls, “Can’t wait to watch every minute of this mess,” one fan wrote.
