‘Ouch’, Tyler Would’ve Left Catelynn If She Didn’t Give Up Carly

The ‘Teen Mom: OG’ couple Tyler and Catelynn have been present on the show for a long time now. They are considered to be essential cast and it’s been that way ever since their appearance in ’16 & Pregnant’.

Their first appearance

Catelynn and Tyler first appeared on MTV’s ’16 & Pregnant’ in 2009, thanks to being chosen beforehand. Apparently, they went to an audition the same as every other ’16 & P’ couple and got selected that way.

The main plot of Catelynn & Tyler’s story was one about the hardships of being teenage parents.

MTV realistically depicted ‘Teen Mom’ parenthood and hundreds of thousands of people tuned in to see it.

“When our episode first aired on MTV in 2009, it was the very first episode that really documented what adoption looks like,” Catelynn said in an interview with E! News.

Tyler’s ultimatum

Back in the early days of ’16 & Pregnant’, the fans were just getting to know Tyler and Catelynn.
Their decision to give up Carly had a lot of different angles with the main one being financially distressed.

The ‘Teen Mom’ fans on Reddit think that the couple giving up Carly for adoption had more to it.
Specifically, fans believe that Catelynn had to give up Carly, or else Tyler would’ve left her then & there.
