Female Boxer Walks Out Of Olympic Fight
Olympic boxing is an integral part of the Olympic Games, showcasing the skills, strength, and determination of amateur boxers from around the world. The sport follows the rules and regulations set by the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and has been a part of the modern Olympic program since 1904. Olympic boxing consists of a series of weight classes, with male and female athletes competing in separate divisions. The sport is known for its fast-paced, high-intensity matches, where boxers strive to outmaneuver and outscore their opponents within three rounds of intense action.
What recently happened is unprecedented in Olympic boxing history.
Female boxer walks out of match.
Italian Olympic boxer Angela Carini recently walked out of her fight with an Algerian boxer due to gender differences.
Her Albanian opponent was previously disqualified from a championship due to failing a gender eligibility test – high levels of testosterone.
Fans weren’t pleased by the event.
“I refuse to watch the Olympics this year because of the BS,” one fan commented.
“The fight just happened in Paris. It was hard to watch. Two punches in and the fight was stopped due to a broken nose for the Italian lady. She was crying her eyes out in the middle of the ring saying “this isn’t fair”. It was brutal,” another fan commented.
